Collaboration

The UN Women for Peace Association would like to extend their gratitude to the following collaborators:

Same Sky

Same Sky and the UNWFPA are taking a stand against the systemic violence and discrimination of women. The Same Sky PEACE bracelet promotes and advances the goals of the UNWFPA that provides opportunities for women through job creation, education, and empowerment programs, particularly in conflict-affected areas.

Same Sky believes that jewelry should do more than just reflect your fashion sense. It should show the world your sense of solidarity with the people who need it most. By wearing the PEACE bracelet, you become an advocate to end violence against women and girls.

The UNWFPA would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Francine LeFrak for her devotion to promoting peace and women's empowerment.

92nd Street Y

As a nonprofit community and cultural center, 92nd Street Y seeks to create, provide and disseminate programs of distinction that foster the physical and mental health of human beings throughout their lives, their educational and spiritual growth and their enjoyment.

92nd Street Y reaches out beyond its core constituency of American Jews to serve people of diverse racial, religious, ethnic and economic backgrounds, seeking partnerships that leaven our programs and broaden our influence.

The UNWFPA would like to thank the 92nd Street Y for helping us to promote our March in March to end violence against women and girls.

Special thanks to Henry Timms and Asha Curran for your tremendous efforts.

AARP

The UNWFPA would like to thank AARP for their continuous support of the UNWFPA and our mission to end violence against women and girls around the globe.

World Future Society

The World Future Society believes in the power of the futurist mindset to create new narratives for a thriving humanity. Founded in 1966, the World Future Society has spent the past five decades building future studies from the ground-up through publications, global summits, and advisory roles to world leaders in business and government.Sometimes it seems as though we are firing off in all different directions without a clear, collective purpose — a common goal for humanity. Our potential is so much greater together. As unique individuals, how can we actively participate in shaping our collective future?

The future is not determined. It does not have to be a continuation of a familiar storyline–we cannot leave the defining decisions of our time in the hands of obsolete, failing systems. We must be active, creative participants in shaping a new narrative to define human existence.

UNWFPA is proud to collaborate with the World Future Society as we work to fulfill our missions of peace.

IIE

At IIE, we believe that when education transcends borders, it opens minds, enabling people to go beyond building connections to solving problems together. Our vision is a peaceful, equitable world enriched by the international exchange of ideas and greater understanding between people and cultures.

IIE’s mission is to help people and organizations leverage the power of international education to thrive in today’s interconnected world. For almost 100 years, IIE has worked with clients, sponsors and donors to develop and manage and expanded our work to additional facets of international education, including workforce training, the advancement of women and girls and support to scholars affected by conflict and natural disasters.

The UNWFPA would like to extend a special thanks to Alan Goodman, President of the Institute of International Education, for his dedication to education and peace.

Launched in 2014, WEDO works globally to empower women and girls to become active participants in the economy by igniting a network of women leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs to initiate startups, drive economic expansion, and advance communities around the world. In order to achieve this ambitious goal, WEDO builds and catalyzes the vital networks of like-minded individuals and organizations that women business leaders need to realize their full potential and change the world.

The UNWFPA would like to thank Wendy Diamond for her tireless efforts in working to declare November 19th as Women’s Entrepreneurship Day.
